Project Life-Week 1

I started 2015 knowing that I wanted to get right back into project life and I think I did just that. I jumped in head first. I think I did a very good job. I used my studio calico project life kit and I added some things from my stash.

Happy New Year, New You, New Me

Happy New Year everyone I hope yours was fun and safe. As for me, even though I am 30 I still have some party girl left in me but she didn't come out last night. My husband,my daughter and I just stayed in the house eating funfetti cake, my baby girl even stayed up until midnight with us.

No better way to bring in the New Year than with the best party cake in the world. So does anyone have any New Year resolutions? Well I do, just two. To workout and to go back to school. I'm not trying to lose weight, that's not my goal. I just feel so sluggish lately and I know exercise will help me. And now I'm at a point in my life that I know if I go back to school I know I would finish. I always start a couple of college classes and I never finish, I want to have a career.

Lets all start this year on the right foot and hoping everyone achieve their goals

Start of a New Year

2015 is coming up and it will be my third year participating in project life. Well really my second year because in 2014 I started and kept putting it off for the next week and just decided to not do it and give up. But now I regret not documenting 2014 because we had a big move and Cameron's second birthday with her father since her first one he was deployed.

Now I know there will be a bunch of blog post talking about what you need for project life and Im not going to bore you with the details. This year I wont be using a selphy to print my pictures, I hated mines and I sold it after getting it for a birthday present. I wont be using a project life kit because I dont want every page to look the same.I like the hodge podge look. One thing I will make sure this year to do it use more creativity with my layouts and put more detail into them.

bible journaling

when i moved to texas i wanted to go back to church and learn more about the bible. on pinterest i was looking up bible study and trying to get tips and how i can bible study at home and i came across bible journaling. its basically bringing the word of God to life, for me anyway. it involves my loved of crafting so i knew i wanted to do this. 

Old lady status

So since all of my craft stuff are gone I decided I needed something to pass the time. I needed some small and compact because I didn't want to carry a bunch of stuff with me, then I though of cross stitching. I did it once before when I was younger so I got the jist of it down but the patterns I've been looking at are more for older ladies and I wanted something fun. On Instagram I came across a company call the frosted pumpkin stitchery and I fell in love with all the patterns. In one week I bought six patterns. This one is called legendary friends and I love the little unicorn. I should have used a lighter color fabric but this is the first pattern I finished, just waiting on my black thread to come so I can put eyes on the little girl and the unicorn.

So exciting!!!

The movers came on Monday and took most of our things, we'll all of our things the only things left are kitchen stuff and my husband army stuff. That will be shipped at a later date. But for now we are leaving out of suitcases and trying to make the time go by. Only a month and a half left and back to sweet ole "merica". I can't wait to go to walmart, to the movies, to the mall. I feel like we will get back to regular life. That's why it's so exciting.
